Wife tossing a sport? No sir, that's reality :p
Excuse me for taking this back to serious talk, OK? :)
I'm one of those JMSnews forum crossovers. Due to work I mostly lurk, but I keep lurking because I like the place.
The diversity of things posted in the Zocalo is amazing, that's what keeps me coming back. I get to read about things I wouldn't know otherwise.
On the other hand I did stop posting at a different forum (for an Australian band) in great part because political discussion (around the time of the Irak invasion) poisoned it. There were also some personal issues that demanded I left (finishing grad school), but the acrymony from politics turned me off.
That said, those discussions have naturally died there, so I have gone back to lurking, with a different attitude: I just don't bother to read the political posts, if I can't resist I know to skip the posts of some people.
I'm also now mostly a lurker at the JMSnews forums. That one does have more active B5 discussion, mostly because many newcomers to B5 find the place and introduce themselves. But overall there is a core membership, and the others come and go. That results in some very slow times there sometimes, especially in the B5 related forums, the off-topic one is not as active as this Zocalo.
I'm happy I found FirstOnes, hope it keeps going. I usually don't have much to contribute (I'm no longer in the USA to keep current with Lost and BSG, I don't game, etc.) but I always find something interesting to read in the Zocalo.
So thanks to all for that.
I love this place. I visit here everyday if I can. But I'm not talking as much as I used to. The reason for this is because I've found other people to play multiplayer games with. I play Guild Wars every chance I got with some friends and they also like to play other games multi and even try out new games. So yeah, while playing with them my talking goes on mostly there.
But I'll allways return to this place, because it feels like my home on the internet. :)
