B5: ITF script

Over at the TrekBBS, a fellow is claiming here that he managed to get the two scripts used in the making of the game. My questions boil down to these two.
"Can this be true?"
"How did he do this?"
"Can this be true?"
"How did he do this?"

It's not the traditional type of script, because there were many directions the game could take, whereas in a regular one, it is linear.
Also, this would be for the actors making the cut scenes, not the actual game engine. The game engine wouldn't be that linear.

Randy could correct me if I am wrong anywhere... as it was him and CHristy that worked on them I think...

An 800-page pile of documents, separate from the live-action scripts, was used to construct the game.
If I am not allowed to have the live-action scripts, I have to think that anyone outside Sierra On-Line has scripts that are in a legal gray area, at best.
The script, as already said, is not a traditional script ... it's more or less a choose-your-own-adventure format, depending on how the game plays out.

I know the game is pretty much dead and buried...
The assets for said game are pretty much worth free to anyone who wants to make money from them...
but...
By telling everyone in a public forum who's documents you have... her details
arent you being a tad indiscreet ?
If someone at Seirra gets really ornery you could have just put Ms Lewis' butt in a sling...
She's not necessarily, and probably isn't, responsible.
That was just plain stupid... both in terms of financial and management sides.

There's so much more to it, but what's the point of re-examining the dirty laundry?

[b]I think it boils down to new management listening to the wrong people and not taking the time to fully investigate what we were doing before he decided (under pressure from above) to chose B5:ITF as one of the games to cancel – that and the fact that we didn’t have any high-up management allies.

Damn... so basically you are saying that they just chose blindfoldedly games which will be cancelled? Before making any research which are nearing completion, which would have the market etc?
Choosing both Orcs and B5:ItF was plainly stupid. Orcs based on JRR Tolkiens Lord of the Rings world and giving it a original point of view as a stragedy game on the side of Sauron, would've been a massive hit with the LoTR fans.
And second B5:ItF, space simulators were dying, that I understand. But 6 months from completion after a, what, four years of development? *sigh* I would've understood if Eidos would've cancelled Daikatana when they saw that it takes too much money (maybe then we would've seen Anachronox 2 seeing light). But cancelling B5:ItF when having something new to space sims, B5 cast and other fabulous things... idiotic. And I'm sure Sierra/Havas lost much more money by cancelling these games and regained most of them back by letting them to get finished.
Oh well... past is past... I will stop now. I hope...
/me have lost faith to game publishers a long time ago.

I hope someone down the line has the vision and the pocketbook to match to get the game from Sierra/Havas and maybe hire back the staff who was working on it if they were able/wanted to work on it and find a good publisher to finally bring this great game to light.
Dont be surprised now if that Orcs came actully gets brought back cuz of the success of LotR movie(s).
