(Ship) ISPC Veritable
Sanfam
I like clocks.
Presently, the Veritable is cruising towards the Narn Homeworld on autopilot, preparing for a jump to hyperspace using the nearest gate (located just inside Vree-claimed space)
((One thing I should probably add...the jump drive is one of those parts which just could not be fixed on my ship. It's broke, and it ain't comin' back in the near future...at least not until the beat up old reactors can finally be upgraded))
His shuttle just having docked after a month-long absence, James boards his ship. As he exited the airlock and set foot on the main deck, a voice could be heard. It's Janice, the ship's computer, armed with a "slightly modified" version of the standard issue Earthforce AI personality. It's more...feminine than the original configuration, far more soft, sensual. Those less familiar with 'her' would probably say it's creepy. Possibly a result of spending too much time alone on this ship and always on-the-go, James rarely finds the time to socialize, let alone carry on a proper romantic relationship, so this is likely to be the closest he'll get to a warm welcome.
"Welcome Home, My Captain."
"Hello, Janice. Nice to hear you again"
"Beep-chirp--beep!" Beyond the rudimentary noises, there is no reply.
Of course, James is not expecting much in the way of a traditional conversation. His ship's AI, while once on the bleeding edge of technology, is now a sorry relic of humanity's past Its limited memory, and thus inherently limited vocabulary prevents it from speaking in many instances. Instead, Janice emits a series of beeps and tones, the sounds of which her Captain has grown quite accustomed to.
((I can barely think straight tonight, so please forgive any glaring errors or omissions. I'll maybe fix 'em up later :D))
