It has now emerged that Mr de Menezes:
· was never properly identified because a police officer was relieving himself at the very moment he was leaving his home;
· was unaware he was being followed;
· was not wearing a heavy padded jacket or belt as reports at the time suggested;
· never ran from the police;
· and did not jump the ticket barrier.
But the revelation that will prove most uncomfortable for Scotland Yard was that the 27-year-old electrician had already been restrained by a surveillance officer before being shot seven times in the head and once in the shoulder.
Originally, I had read that he ran from the cops, they held him down, then shot him. That didn't exactly put me on their side. I might've understood some seriously itchy trigger fingers in a nervous pursuit situation with the latest bombings (not that that would've made it okay). But now it turns out he didn't even run from the cops, they just decided to execute him on a hunch? Hold him down and fire 7 fucking shots in the head on a hunch? Jesus, I thought the cops in Mexico were poorly trained.

if you can believe the over biased media. which i don't personally. they are looking for a sensational story.
look at the whole thing here with George Bush and his military service, the media published all these stories about how he lied about his service, yadda yadda yadda, only it turns out that not a word of it was true. now i can't stand the guy, but lets at least judge him on what actually happened, same thing over there, lets wait until we really know what happned.
I'm normally one of the first guys to say a cop's job is hard as hell, walking a fine line between doing his job safely and not using excessive force and pissing people off or getting sued. But this is just incredible.

Morden

Doesn't look like a heavy winter jacket as they claimed either.
On that picture, I cannot see him wearing anything which could conceal a serious home-made bomb (his clothing would suffice to conceal a serious bomb *only* if the bomb was made by true experts, of the finest explosives).
If other information originates from the same leak, it would lend such information a modicum of credibility...
...although I would not deem the police officers who shot him criminal *yet*. However, I would await more information, and should the claim prove true, I *would* deem them criminal (given the unfeasibility of tit-for-tat, I would want the person who pulled the trigger... to reflect upon their decision for a couple of decades).
Although, Im still convinced the police did a piss awful job..
