For A8N-SLI Deluxe MOBO owners

Looks like there is a defect in my motherboard I saw in one of my AMD forums. It is the built in fan for the chipset. ASUS states they are sending out replacements free. I posted this because I think I remember some people with the same MOBO. Mine has not failed yet but I never overclock anyway. I still love the chipset.

    Just changed chipset heatsink/fan.
Original fan started having slowdowns/"stalls" couple weeks ago...
Apparently fan sped up calmly because that wasn't noticeable while stalling was very easy to notice.

At least new fan is little bigger although I don't think heatsink has much better cooling capacity. And my computer sounds maybe little more quiet now without that 8kRPM turbine.

PS. Guess what country you have to select in Asus' international main page to find tech support number for Finland...
Sweden of course nevertheless there's own page for Finland.

I guess this what happens when you get bleeding edge technology. I got my fan and I am waiting for the fan to make noises. I got mine prebult from a company called ibuypoyer in Califonia, they sent me the fan fed ex 3day, 3 year warrenty with that company. I had this since april and I honestly can't say any real stability issues with the board. I did some teaking in the Bios but no serious overclocking. I don't like overclocking in windows programs.

my bare bones system is with only a one 6200 xfx video card 256 mb and I can play full resolution in games. 20 pin psu too!!
