modding problems

Hi! I've just found this page and think this will be the best Babylon 5 game/mod! I can't wait to play it!

Also, I'D like to start modding too, and I started to study how-to, but I only started I've already met some difficulties I can't overcome.

The biggest problem is... I have some Ligthwave objects but when I try to convert them with the game'S converter it says at most of them

error: Access violation at address ... in module 'lowlib.dll'. Read of address ....

How can I solve this problem?

Please help! Thanks!

    "asy go -> easy come"

    I think I found a solution, the problem was connected to the polynumber of the mesh.

    But things would be too easy if everything was going ok :) another question. One of the modells is a sort of ring shape and the converter puts a n extra polygon into the ring and it spoils the whole ship...

    What should I do?

    Just to let you know this specific forum isn't for a particular mod, its more of a place to plan for a community repository

    ???

    I don't really understand why you're saying that, because that's just the case why I opened this topic to help people and myself who want to start modding...

    So what's the problem?

    Anyway I was able to find out what's the address problem all about.
    When I try to convert to 3DS format the converter program /not the one with NEXUS/ it tells me that "....-th polygon of object ... is bad"

    How can I find the specific polygon in Ligthwave? What does it mean bad polygon?

    I still can't solve the "added polygon" problem with the ring shaped object....

    I think it was the tone of the original post that threw croxis off (Great game/mod, can't wait to start playing, etc). Anyhow, welcome! Hopefully someone who can help will stumble on in *pokes JackN* and provide more assistance. Otherwise, bumpage!
