Space.com is reporting that astronomers may have just witnessed the [URL=http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/050509_blackhole_birth.html]birth[/URL] of a black hole. Now i'm just waiting for ET to post a half dozen links on the subject;)

    Not only that but there is no space between black and hole.

    You realize that another name for a wormhole is a whitehole? That is actually the original name, until some scifi person came up with wormhole and the scientists liked it better :)

    Oops. I just checked my reference books - you're right.

    It is either "Black hole" or "Black-hole" (the latter is used only in reference to Hawking radiation as far as I can tell).
