Anyone know of a decent little video editing software that's available for free. I don't need anything fancy, just something to cut and paste some family videos together...

    Virtualdub is very good, I used it to convert AVIs into MPEG-2s so that I can create DVDs.

    Movie maker will probably do what you want.

    Just to throw it out there, [url=http://www.thugsatbay.com/]Zwei-Stein Video Editor[/url] is another free alternative. I've never used it but I've heard good things.

    Virtualdub will do what you want pretty quickly and easily.

    Yup, thanks a bunch for the info, I check out virtual dub. My laptop is on 2000, so no movie maker for me (not that I couldn't go to microsoft .com or something...).
