Another Firefox question.

Well since I've been using my Mac more & more frequently I loaded Firefox on her. Problem is I can't figure how to set it up as the default browser & from time to time if I have a link outside Firefox Safari will pop up.

    Tools -> Settings -> General -> Default Browser -> Tick The Box(tm).

    Unless the Mac -FFox is somehow different. :p

    It is. :D
  • If memory serves me right... (when surfing from a Mac I use Firefox as the second choice so I have never done it actually)

    In OS X 10.3.x now you set the default browser in the Preferences settings for Safari itself not in a panel in System Preferences as in previous Mac OS versions.

    Weird, and contradictory to the usual obvious/self-explanatory (NB: to me at least) way of setting things up on the Mac. (I guess Apple really wants you to stick to Safari).
    But it's still better than having the browser embedded in the OS with the consequent security holes....

    Yep got it.

    hmm how did IE sneak onto here? :D
