Well, the interesting thing is that white stars do not exist in the main sequence (though you can have white dwarfs). All stars have a color. The reason white dwarfs appear white is becuase their color shift is so far above the visual spectrum that they appear white to the human eye.
If you are familiar with a black body curve light distribution understanding the color system of stars becomes easier. Lets start simple: An incandesent light. With this the temperature of the filiment emits a black body distribution of light. In the case of a star the temperature of the plasma feild in the surrounding corona determines the temperature of emission of a black body curve, not the temperature of the stars surface or interior, though the corona temperature is directly proportional to the internal temperature.
A black body curve looks approximately as follows:
-
/ \
_- |
__-- |
_______------- \_______
.
Temp point. Approx same position as curve fall off.
The above is a rough sketch of a black body curve. The distribution will emit nearly no photons of an energy level above the temperature of the source.
When looking at the physics of light emission, you will notice a direct correlation between temperature and color. In the case a black body curve, the horizontal component indicates the wavelength of light and the vertical component indicates the probability that that wavelength will be emited. The color you see when you look at a star is the average wavelength by probability.
I've tried to make this simple enough for the average person to understand...good luck

The Bluestar is a small, personal version of a Whitestar. They only appear once in the entire series: in SiL when Sheridan goes for a drive in one. Thus we can assume that they were developed after Objects at Rest.

Not quite. There were several flying around in LOTR
But that's not Babylon 5. It is a different series!
Now, if you only knew which question.

The Whitestar and Bluestar were equal in size?

Very quite. By series, I meant "Babylon 5". I also said that they were built some time between Objects at Rest and SiL, which is the period in which LotR takes place.

personally i would like him to either do a series about valen, or go to that time of the great burn. that would be cool.
yes. Someone really should make one!

I agree, and have said as much before here and elsewhere.
I also feel that way about the Star Wars universe. I am much more interested in the days of old when the Sith Lords fought, the whole scenario for the Valley of the Jedi and why it was necessary, or how the republic was formed originally, etc.
I also enjoy the stories of Luke and other Jedi's rediscovering things about the Force both light and dark.

I would like to see a movie or two based upon Larry Niven's time lines, and/or David Brin's universe also (nods to John Walker... ).

Yes, Known Space movie(s) would definitely rule. Well, we got a video game which was successful... maybe a movie is possible. (Although I think the Ringworld would make the ultimate MMORPG world.)
Brin:
Startide Rising or The Uplift War made into movies would be "Ultra Gloss" It makes me all tingly just to think about it!
The Bluestar is which is refered to here is a smaller vessel.
Then i saw the Hel-z'ha fighter (!!!!)
(that's the one in which i did my first test of the Whitestar, and went on that secret mission in sector 14 along with Marcus and Sakai, against the Shadows).
It was shown only at MINARVIA's Battles at Babylon 5 (and i've been dying ever since to find WHO created that little marvel)
(Minarvia's e-mail is dead, and her web site is unattended, i think she moved, as she was as student at the time).
When i saw the CG of the ship, i thought it was cannon, and that i had missed the episode where it was shown. Well... some said it was not cannon (but none of them had seen all the videos..)(neither do i).
"If it's not cannon, then it is a darn well made CG, which looks VERY much like it was part of the show, with proper spacescape, and not too much lighting. Floating in front of a distant planet.
I dearly want to find the designer of that model (so i can make a 3 dimensional (hard) model of it (well.. resin, anyway).
Anyone who knows anything about this, please, contact me.... (!!).
The last Whitestar in the family (well... it's not cannon, but it could make a few people faint, is the one of Nadab (Advance ISA WS). It's scary.

For some reason I found that part of Deconstruction to be the single most fascinating scene in all of the B5 series. Sure there were more moving scenes, but that one just piqued my interest. I believe JMS said something about that scene being based upon A Canticle for Lebowitz, which is a book I have yet to be able to find locally.
It also a very interesting scene it the way it depicts the rise of normal individuals to godhood.

It's really not that. There are things like Copyrights, Intellectual Property, and other "little technicalities" that make it hard.
