September 30th.
I know alot of us are dissapointed about B5:TMoS, but I strongly urge us to support this short lived TV series that could have been on par with Babylon 5. Unlike many series, this one hit the ground running, but was killed by the executives (a fate similar to Crusade).
That and I want to the the doctor shirtless again.

The tv-show was crap.......stupid mix of genres.... :shadow1:
If you're going to criticize the show, at least provide some proof to back up your claims. Just saying it's "crap" doesn't do anyone any good.
I loved Firefly. The characters were well-written and intriguing and the western/space setting was interesting (it also made perfect sense within the story).
And did I mention the doctor is a total hunk?
(Ok and the engineer was a total babe. May as well make a comment for 95% of the viewers on this forum =P)
That's your entire justification? "stupid mix of genres"?
No, but it was the main element. A western mixed with spaceships? I agree that it was something new, but it just didnt feel correct.
It was a series I watched just to have something to watch, much like Andromeda.

The western element of the show wasn't there for no reason. It was part of the story.
After the war with the Alliance, most of the losing side retreated to distant planets, many of which were without technological comforts. So many people reverted to older means of living, hence the western theme.
It has been said that Fox have signed for 2 more films in the 1st one does well, so who knows...
Fox doesn't own the rights to Serenity. It's a Universal film.
It's a shame it hasn't lasted as long as Buffy or Angel.
