STuck in HL2 (again)

Im just past the point where you have to use the RPGs to knock out the spider crawler things & now I dont know where to go. It seems the only way out is back the way I came.

    Ahhh, I remember that section--assuming we're thinking of the same section--it took me a while as well. If you're at the point where you emerge from a building and find several Humans on the steps to some building taking fire from Striders, then you have to keep going forward while taking out the Striders, and down into the holes in the pavement; there should be RPG ammo there.

    If it seems like the only way out is the way you came in, then you probably need to blow up more striders and/or run past the right point, which will result in the striders blowing up more building, creating a path for you to continue on.

    The striders are all destroyed. I think Andy knows exactly what Im talking about yeah they are all just standing there nothing to shoot at...The holes in the pavement are the ones I just came from or I Thought I did?

    The way I remember that area is that you come out of a building into a sort of alleyway, and proceed out into the open to help several Humans fight off a Strider or two, and then proceed into the "trenches"--you have limited RPG ammo, or at least I did, so staying around and fighting is not an option. I don't remember any scripted sequence at that point.

    If you mean that place where you had to get to that building to disable some weapon (which killed you if you stoppped running) you just have to come enough backwards while evading Striders and you'll find crate of RPG ammo on other side of square.
    (where you started running and dodging that strange weapon on ingress route)

    Ah yes, I remember that place. You need to get right across the square to the other side, where you'll find more ammo and more striders and/or choppers will appear. Basically you need to get back out of the square to the building across from it where you first saw it from, nearby that is one of those wall things, which is your destination. On the way you'll occasionally find ammo stashes and have to take out striders.

    Are you talking about the part where you've killed the final two from the top of the building? If so you have to walk along the top of a destroyed wall into a near by street. Look around for a statue of a horse. You need to get to that.

    ...But then I realized that by reversing gravity you would actually just fall straight up into the sky, so NEVERMIND.

    A little late, sorry, but...

    There's a statue of a horse on a pedestal that you should be able to see. You're on the destroyed buildings after taking out all the striders, right? You need to walk along the building frame in the general direction of that horse statue until you can drop down to the street.
