This is what "user interface" means!

E.TE.T Quote-o-matic
Cheap DSLRs have become so cheap that looks like prosumer cameras are propably rare in coming years until manufacturers see how much DSLRs affects to prosumer's share of market.
In "user interface" design Minolta has been light year ahead of others and even they have now dumbed down model (add one "mediasexy" feature, take away many good&practical features and put big number to model name) as official successor for their prosumer range.

So because of this dumbed down "successor" and ending production of previous model last year with shops running out of stock I've been kinda forced to do little updating from previous digicam now when their last real prosumer is still available...
(what I know only one shop from area of Nordic countries and central Europe has those in stock. ;) )

And this is what I'm waiting, I should get it in couple days.

It has more than couple better features and "boosts" in user interface compared to even my current digicam.

I would say this is what efficient user interface means!

For good, "short" description of features:

    Got it today...

After getting used to 7i shaping felt little weird at first but not much after few hours of toying.
Focusing speed is great, EVF is terrible (VGA resolution), also LCD works well... although narcissists won't like it because they can't take own headshots so easily as with swiveling one.

Also after little use positioning of buttons is quite easy to remember... function button nicely doubles function of some other buttons/gives shortcut to few settings.

While comparing this to A200's specs I'm quite ready to agree with someone's statement from DPreview forum that this might become classic...
Although I won't be buying "100 Brussel's roubles, thanks"-brand battery as second, Lenmar's 23 euros battery should do the job.

So anyone not interested which shop have these in stock?
    (sorry... only Nordic countries)

Nice cam, I'm hoping to pick up a Cannon EOS 20D later this summer. i'd buy it now, but plunking down $2,000 for a camera and lenses right now while i'mmaking car payments, well, that'd be a bit tough.
