Slashdot is the only one I use RSS for. I don't see the point for any others, since I get to them at particular times during the day anyway.
• I would never visit any of those sites if I didn't have RSS. Hell, I think I'd swear off the internet entirely if I had to go to all the trouble of actually visiting the main page--it requires at *least* two extra clicks!

My reason is basically that each night I go through a big list of bookmarks in order. That covers just about all the pages I visit regularly. Slashdot and this place are the only ones I visit more often than once a day, and this place doesn't have an RSS feed. :)
• What is this RSS thing you people are talking about? :D

Fine, fine... I know more-or-less what RSS does... merely that using it... never really clicked with my habits.

BBC News, Footnotes and a few friends sites I check from time to time.

Amazingly the firstones news script also generates a rss feed, I just never turned it on :p

never bothered about using it. Half the point of checking the websites is to take a break from work, and RSS removes that break in a way :P
