Christy's stepson, Julian Ledger, is in the special effects business for feature films and TV. He based his creation on the Revell model - recreating each part at the new scale, in various materials. So it is about as authentic as you can get.

Ahh... so [i]that's[/i] where it came from. I remember having the Texas Six-Shooter model when I was a kid. There's a genuine good idea, great fun too.
--Although I was able to construct a much more fierce, single-shot weapon from plain Legos and a black rubber "bouncer". The sucker was able to pierce heavy cardboard with the right construction.
