I just (well, ok, yesterday) finished watching my DVD-set of the last season of Angel, and I have to say to all the people who said that this was the best season, you were right.
The addition of Spike really brought some unique energy to the mix, his scenes with Angel were so great and funny.
But as much as i love the show, i hate it.
[spoiler]What they did to Fred, and then Wesley's death in the last episode, that was just so... argh... I spent so much time with these characters, and then seeing those things happen to them, saying it brought tears to my eyes would be an understatement.[/spoiler]
I felt pretty devastated after seeing the last episode, knowing that there wouldn't be another. It has been such a wild ride, and there's nothing remotely similar on the air right now. Damn you, WB, for cancelling your second highest rating TV show...
Spike: Any terms of a plan?
Angel: We fight.
Spike: Bit more specific?
Angel: Well, personally? I kinda want to slay the dragon. Let's go to work.
