    Im concerned about an antispyware tool from Microsoft. I just dont see how they care...

    I use adaware and Spy Sweeper, they seem to do a good job.

    But nevertheless better be without touting it to M$... most of mankind is dumb as boot and this would be effective way for them to retain their monopoly.

    Prolly a fake. I've had no problems with that tool and FireFox so far.

    And most people know this already, but it's basically GIANT AntiSpyware that MS just bought. Must've made some alterations to it, but... we'll see how it keeps coming up with MS' own stuff & problems.

    I use RealVNC as well...

    Symantec cathes anything that tries to pop through on that one.

    No serious computer user uses anything done by M$, especially if it's somehow related to security.

    Alas Windows OS being pretty much mandatory most often though.

    As Data Crystal said, this particular one isn't done by MS. They just bought it off someone else. In a year or two, then it can be said to be done by MS.

    lol, Im sorry I didnt look at the pic, but thats pretty damned funny.

    The other problem I have with it is are they going to update it, and with what?

    I know they "aquired" it in one of their Microborg aquisitions but does that mean they will continue to support it.

    Also, Ive heard rumor that even if they do, it will be one of those Company X pays us Y amount of money for our spyware program to miss their spyware. If there is anywhere near half a truth to that statement, its enough for me to stay away from it.
