Opinions on a sketch...
I did this back in (I think) 1997... and I've looked at is so much that I've become jaded, and can't figure out if there's anything wrong with it.
Opinions?

G'Kar looks like he's been missing food for a while and has had a solid bonk on the head.
Your skecting shading technique is ALMOST perfect, give it time to develop
but on serious note, that is one awesome piece of artwork, totally eclipses mine, good job!
And yeah, I drew him in a .... contemplative mood. hehe

Did you draw it straight from memory, or did you have a similar picture beside you to help you get it right. I don't think you traced it.
Still, either way it's a fantastic pic!

I, as the others, am green with envy, but if you want to know what's wrong, I'd say the face appears slightly malfermed and asymmetrical. The nose is a bit strange and the eyes aren't quite in the line. His right eye is sigificantly lower and more "tired" than the left.
You have anything more resent?

That's one of my usual problems too when I draw; you think you're doing an excellent job, but when you sleep over it and look at it the next day, you'll notice a heapload of "those errors you could NEVER make".
Most recent example; I worked on a 0.5 lead pencil & Studio pencil black & white drawing for 3-odd weeks, and sent it to a drawing competition to a gaming mag. It looked terrific at the time I sent it, but now when I look at a photocopy of it, kinda' makes me wish I hadn't sent it.
"What?!? I didn't shade that log! The guy's left leg is thinner than the right one! WTF was I thinking!?!? And so on..., you probably know what I'm talking about.
It's just WAY too easy to become immune to your own errors from time to time.

I dunno about the lump head, though... Andreas' makeup was a lot more exaggerated in the earlier seasons (which was when I drew this one)... looks ok comparing it to the G'kar bust that I have.
And yes, it seems his makeup was toned down with time. It's all good, though
Data crystal is also quite correct. I happen to discover way too many issues when I examine some of the stuff I do with time. It's irritating, but it helps solve many problems

I wish I had a tenth of your talent. My only negative observations are that the cheekbones seem to jut out a bit much and there's something odd about the back left side of the head. Incredible, though.
Post more if you want to, it's always cool to see what people are up to.

Vir - Are you saying you don't trust me anymore? I made your favourite, Spoo.
Londo - I'll order in.

Hmm... allow me to take that back. Something just dropped in from my letterbox which appears to be the grand prize...
