ACK!

I suppose its for the best tho. Give Stargates and BSG, and a babylon 5 movie, a fighting chance.

As i've said many times before, its well past time for ST to take a decade Hiatus.

i dunno, ive got mixed feelings on the subject. while ST definitly needs a rest and regroup period, it did seem to me that enterprise was starting to finally be going off in the right direction for once. still, they could always come back to it later when they've come up with some new ideas.

So many great quotes! :D

Do you think they will let it rest now or do you think a new Star Trek series will begin next season?

i HOPE they let it rest, for about 10 years.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
Even five years would do it some good. We had serious 'Trek Overload" there. TNG/DS9/Voyager/Enterprise all really freakin' close
• I agree with Entil'Zha. Enterprise had one good season out of what, 4? 25% quality, the rest stale boredom? Granted it looks like season 4's starting to pick up, but come on.

Here's something they should have done: compress the mediocre 1st and 2nd seasons into one introductory season, then start the Xindi conflict in 2nd season. That would have given the overall show a sharper edge. As is, I'm not loosing any sleep over this, but it still would have been nice to see how the first Federation/Klingon war began.

its been something like 19 years since TNG went on the air, and its been solid Trek since. With overlap of TNG/DS9, DS9/VOY. It does need a break, it also need to see Rick Berman and Brannon Brega jump off a cliff together.
• Just as it got really really good...
(S3 and 4)
• It also needs Joe wasn't there some talk about a new kick ass Star Trek?
• Rogue TraderRogue Trader Somebody stop him...
I like to point out that the first 2 and half seasons of TNG are all pretty much unwatchable.

I must admit i liked what they were doing this year, its just that trek was bad for too long before it.

Oh, I don't know. Encounter at Farpoint is pretty cool (although the special effects do make you cringe...).

As for Enterprise, I think it's a pity it never got to be what it could have been, what it finally started becoming, but really they should have done it right from the beginning. Because they didn't, because they let it be another B&B piece of crap for too long, it's ended up cancelled. Now I hope for at least a 5 year gap before anything Star Trek at all. I don't think we'll get it though because one of the B's mentioned plans for some Star Trek movie with a huge budget.

And the way they talked about this supposed next Trek film, having a big budget, made me laugh. Takes more than a big budget to make a good film. When Paramount start advertising for writers they should ad a note in the advert "Berman and Braga need not apply!"

Well at least we have SG1 confirmed for yet another season and Atlantis for season 2. Its funny you'd think Berman and Braga would have learned a bit from how Greenberg and Anderson have handled SG1... the only show to go level with the X-Files on season count. And unlike the X-Files, SG1 feels as fresh as ever! But then again if B & B couldn't learned from DS9 and Voyager then, the writing was already on the wall for Enterprise.
• What they need is Star Trek movie with a very low budget. Cut some of the CGI & make it more human like the old trek.

personally i agree more with the guy writing that. shows like firefly woulda benefited more from it
• croxiscroxis I am the walrus
Yah firefly would have been great.

Is it bad that I like sci-fi shows based on how good looking the actors are?
• The General/captain guy looks strikingly like an older Sheridan to me but then again thats just me.
• Falcon1Falcon1 Elite Ranger
I find it sickening that Firefly was killed and Enterprise let run and drag, wheezing like a bag of old lemons. Oh the logic of tv studios...
