I'm more interested in that Firefly protien...

    :p

I'm thinking... Chemical tattoo's that glow...

    :p
  • Well... putting an engineered combination of two nuisances (and some proteins borrowed from the immune system) up against another nuisance... seems quite fair play to me.

I wish them luck in devising an effective and reliable system.

As for the firefly protein... I have seen a photograph of fish that glow... but I'm not sure if glowing in the dark would look good on a human. It would be imperative to be able to remove the glow after fashion changes. :P

Just imagine if we could transplant some of those cells from Squid to say a human arm, and be able to control them.

We could change the Tattoo from day to day as needed.

Interface to some electronics and we could make small rectangular TV screens and watch SuperBowl games on our skin... hah hah

I know the glow gene was inserted into a tabacoo plant a few years back, the whole thing glew.
