  • WHOOP!!!...They would've been crazier than Sierra NOT to renew it!! And, for the first time since I knew of the existance of Battlestar Galactica (when I was about 8 or 9, I guess), I wonder what it would be like to fly a Viper:-)

    WOO! Good news. :)
  • RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
yes... now i'd like to know if the upcoming R2 DVD release of the first season will be "featureless" like the mini-release, or if it'll be identical to the R1 release (whenever it'll be)

I shall definately be getting those dvds.

And I'm very glad it's getting a second season. Six episodes to resolve the cliffhangers...sounds good to me :)

The thing about the DVDs is, i'm not sure i want to buy those twice... I had no problem with the mini-series, but the season boxes'll probably be a bit more expensive...

I just looked it up on Amazon. It seems like they are breaking up the season into multiple sets and they are EXPENSIVE!

Almost £40 for part 1 of the season. Thats going to be 6 episodes or less, depending how many parts they split the dvds into.

I guess I wont be buying the dvds after all, which is a shame because I would really like to have a copy of the show. I would pay £40 for the entire season but not for part of it.

On the plus side, I noticed that Crusade R2 is coming out on DVD in March.

I suppose it will end up in a seasonbox after some time.
  • Maybe it's mislabelled? Have you seen an advertisement for Pt. 2?

Well, time will tell, won't it?

Actually further research turned out to tell ;)

All 13 episodes, no word on special features.

The amazon pt.1 thingie is a mislabelment... if you check the stats, it's the same as the "full" box at play.com.
  • Vorlons in my HeadVorlons in my Head The Vorlons told me to.
Why only 13 eps in a season  How many will S2 have? What happened to 22 episode seasons like B5? I want more!!!
  • WORFWORF The Burninator
Some shows only get 13 episodes produced for the first season.

When a network doesn't know how well recieved it will be they only do 13 to test it, examples of this are: Buffy, DS9, 24 (luckily they decided early on to continue and produce the rest of the first season).

  • Seinfeld
  • Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, South Park...it's pretty standard practice.
