• My dad saw me reading this article and rolled his eyes; as far as he's concerned, parallel universes are the stuff of juvenile fiction.

It's amazing to think of how our generation (or perhaps our children) will think the universe and existence; the New Frontier might not be six months distant, but rather a mere millimeter away.
• Yeah depends on the woman.

heh... I have to ask you Biggles...

How far have you gotten through the HeeChee saga so far? I really need to get you the last book...

:)

Some of the content (Freezing Universe) of this Article comes into play in the latter book(s)... ;)

heh...

I was just thinking of the correlations here...

"God's escape plan. Heaven, or eternal darkness..."

sounds like Maybe God is a Class III type... :D
• For everything of which one cannot easily see outside...

...there exists the question of whether more such things exist outside, what their properties are... and can one eventually travel there.

So far, the answer has been yes. To consider the answer no would be needless pessimism, so I am inclined to think that it remains "yes" for this puzzle too.

Or perhaps there exist conditions... at which the law of increasing entropy simply doesn't apply.

Perhaps one doesn't need to enter another universe... but can bring one here instead? :D

I can just imagine a Culture Mind issuing some adjectives about cold weather... digging its equivalent of pockets, and producing a device labeled: "For infrequent use to alleviate results of entropy. Approximate safe distance: one billion lightyears. Device shall import notable matter and energy into current universe. Keep out of humanoid reach."

In the end... I trust someone will solve this puzzle... but they may be liable to find out... that the only reward for a smart solver is more puzzles.
• RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
hm... I shall invent a machine to collect all the Dark Energy and use it to propell my army of evil-mutant-death-robots!
