[*]Forging an alliance between the Vulcans, Andorians and Tellarites?
[*]Seeing the Andorian homeworld for the first time, and investigating a societal problem that, as far as I know, is unrelated to any make-up changes?
[*]Doctor Phlox being kidnapped by a hostile race so his medical expertise can help them avert extinction?
[*]A pair of episodes showing what the mirror-Enterprise is up to in their "Birth of the Terran Empire" TV series?
[*]The (creation? Current activites?) of "Section 31"?

Ok, fair questions.
Forging alliances - This is what I thought this show should have been about from the beginning. Its season 4 and they are just now getting to it?? What took so long, oh I guess they had to explain klignon forheads first(j/k).
Seeing Andoria - ehh, I could really care less if we see it or not. Is there somthing groundbreaker there we havent seen before besides just another alien planet? Society problems though does sound like something a serious drama would tackle. Now, the question is, will they do it right? Where major political and socialogical changes take years, or Star Trek style where it takes the last 3 minutes of the episode?
Flox being kidnapped - This is the forhead episode is it not?
Mirror Mirror - bring it on. Im actualy very curious to see their take on this. The mirror episode of TOS simply created a little what-if scenario that quite interesting and spawned the famed (mirror universe bad guys always have gotees (spelling i know). In DS9 the mirror episodes allowed the cast to explore a completely different role that was very anti-trek. It made Sisko ruthless, Kira a nympho, Garrak well, Garrak, ect... But most of all it made for a nice departure from the norm and created a little bit of intruige at the same time. Im not so much worried about Reeves/Stevens & Manny's writing but the Cast's ability to pull this off.
Section 31 - So long as it defines Section 31 the way we have come to see them. An undercover group that will stop at NOTHING to preserve and protect the Federation from any enemy internal or otherwise. It it is anything less, it will be a mockery of one of the more serious aspects of DS9.
On another note, cruised by the trek site and saw the preview for next weeks episode. Enterprise takes some tellerites to a meeting. They sure dont look like Genes cheap little pigheaded aliens. In fact, they kind of look like a klignon that got its head run over by a mack truck. Maybe thats what they are going to do the all of the Klignon masks since they cant use them anymore :D
Ive never liked Andromeda mostly because I think Kevin Sorbo is a freaking idiot. Its supposed to be post Trek?
I guess thats what happens when you die, your ideas get perverted and Kevin Sorbo comes into play.

If it had been about the fall of the Federation (nothing lasts forever) and had been done right, it would have been one of the most amazing pieces of TV in decades.
I know. A series about the birth of the federation and the drama that comes with that (what enterprise shoul have been about) and something about the fall (and rebirth?), maybe even at the same time lol, would have been amazing.
Personally, I really wanted DS9 to feature the fall of the federation. It had the potential to have the Federation lose, to simply collapse under the stress imposed on it by the unending dominion war. The Dominion had an armada that was not to be trifled with.
Spoiler: And sadly, this was wasted. While it did benefit the basic plot of DS9 (bajor/Sisko as Emissary), it destroyed a plot thread that could have been beautifully executed by the talented writers of the show. The entire end-of-the-world dominion fleet was heading for the Alpha Quadrant through the wormhole, and so Sisko convinced the Wormhole Aliens/Prophets to simply deal with them...and poof. Off they went to oblivion. It was a twist, but it left a sour taste in my mouth and the thought of what could have been. With this fleet in the Alpha Quadrant, the Dominion would be able to conquer anything and everything that they wanted to.
Nothing would have been safe, and the federation would have had to break from all of its policies and laws to sustain its stability. And at this point, the thought of leaving the federation--allying themselves with the Dominion out of self preservation--would have crossed their minds, possibly become a serious contender. What would happen to the federation if its member worlds bailed out in such a time of need? Surely the Vulcans and Humans can't fend off such a force alone. Earth would be conquered, and we'd be left with a planet in flames under the rule of the Dominion. During these last days of the federation, we could have seen some of the darkest parts of the federation itself, those aspects that were buried waaaay down, below the bedrock that the once-mightly utopia was built on. Things such as Section 31. And then the recovery, the rebuilding could be dealt with. How would once-citizens survive under dominion rule? What would happen to Bajor, DS9? Would the Prophets intervene to protect their "Children?" I really do wonder how it would have turned out.
RubberEagleWhat's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
It would have also opened up the possibilities for Voyager. Nw think about them coming back in Season 4 and finding the federation destroyed. maybe wouldn't have sucked that much then...
though such things will never happen in Star Trek...
Kes could have sent them all of the way home. They could have used 7of9's knowledge of Borg technology to give them an edge over the Dominion as they struggle to overthrow them.
That would be interesting. TNG DS9 and V had overlapping timelines but not overlapping arcs. Having overlapping series to tell one larger epic story would be a very interesting idea.
I think we need an episode that explains the change in Kirks hair from TOS to Generations. Some serious continuity problems there ;)
On a more serious note, Berman and Braga need to be booted out to start with. Then take it off the air and as others have said already, give it a couple of years. The 90's and these first few years of the 21st century have us all 'trekked out' imo... there's needs to be a break for some fresh ideas. And Enterprise has turned out to be yet another recycle show.
Time for something new to fill the void.
Oh and I never realised that Andromeda was intended to be about the fall of the Federation. Man that would have been very interesting. I mean we already had a taste of that in TNG in that alternate universe episode were the Feds were losing a war with the Klingons , with the Enterprise one of the few big ships left holding the line. Remember Picard saying they had only a few months left before total collapse. But instead we got stuck with Hercules/Zena Warrior Princess in Space... great!

I've been saying it for years now, ever since the 2nd season of Voyager.
