IMPORTANT. Blender Users Please Read

OK. For those of you who DO visit my site to see if I ever get it updated, NEWS!!!!!

I'm going to upload a stack of blender files. Some with and some without lighting grids etc. They will be all of teh files that I have permission to upload. However in order to do that I gootta a STACk of HTML to write!

Also I won't be doing the upload for a few weeks. Hopefully this month though. AND my site WILL GO DOWN while I make the uploads as I am changing my hosting package when I do.

I'll keep you all informed as to when I do it in THIS topic!!!

Later I got code to write ;)

    Couple of questions:

    1. What sorts of things are in the files? Models? Scenes? Uncompleted WIPs? What about types of stuff? B5? Other scifi? Other stuff?

    2. They will be zipped, right? :)

    3. Any clue as to how many MBs this will be?

    4. How long will they stay up for? On modem things take a long while to download...especially since my ISP drops modems at arround 1:30 to 2:30 am so starting a download before I sleep does little :(

    5. If you have any space problems with all those files, I might be able to help you out a bit.

    Looking forward too this! Thanks!

    There's always one!

    OK Stuff is defined as:

    1) Meshes. All of my complete ones. Zips of course but they will require 3ds texturing.

    2) Images. Some new ones, some old ones that I never released.

    3) Photos of why I've been offline for a while.

Images will be B5. Photos will be RC land & marine.

    4) The total upload? No idea. M meshes are all under 5mb, and there will be a few new ones. Somewhere around 100MB is as good a guess as any. The blends are zipped as individual ships. None should be over 3/4MB. And we are talking large ships/stations with lighting grids there.

    5) When I upload em they will stay up for as longs as the ORIGIONAL author permits. If they say take offline I WILL respect their wishes.

As for space, I'm thinking Angeltowns's "Cherub" account. That's 200MB, unmetered with 99% annual up time and unlimited file size. And all that for $2 a month, or to me £1 a month.

    BARGIN!

    :D

I got a load of images to render for the site, so I may upload the site minus the images and upload em as I render them, but above is the general plan.

Oh I should point out that all of that is work permitting. I work 10 hour days so most of it'll be done at the weekends.

Any more Q's feel free to ask.
