    From the teaser trailer I saw a few weeks ago, it looks interesting. Fortunately it won't replace the original. I still think Depp looks too young to be a proper Willy Wonka.

    The funny thing is Biggle that, from what i read, this version will follow more closly tot he book than the Disney movie did

    "Following closely" and "capturing the magic" are not the same thing, though. :)
    I think this version looks good. Not the same as the original, but good in a different way. Barring horrible reviews, I'll be going to see it.

    I'm all wait and see about it. Trailers never means it a good movie. Rumor also has it that this will be a darker style to it. Supposidly they were trying to get Marilyn Manson to be Wanka

    WHoa that is dark...I've heard that Maryln Manson is actually Paully from the Wonder Years (Kevin Arnorld's friend).

    I always thought the old movie was plenty dark, but presented badly. The new one looks more in touch with its screwed up side. Though, the oompa loompas don't seem to be bulbous enough.

    I have a fair amount of faith in Tim Burton. Sure, he's had a few failures (*cough*planetoftheapes*cough*), but his track record speaks for itself. Can't wait for it.

    Willy Wanka is a whole different thing than Willy Wonka, you know ;)
