Notice how it crossed the Atlantic better then the Pacific and impacted Brazil with 10-15cm waves. Note that this is a model rather then actual data though so it might differ slightly from observed data.

Cumbre Vieja volcano on the island of La Palma, Eastern Rift Zone of Kiluea Iki on the Big Island of Hawaii...
The mechanism behind Cumbre Vieja volcano is much more threatening in terms of time scale, but Hawaii has all kinds of landslide history just off shore under water as well...

Actually there's lot of landslide deposits in area of whole island chain of Hawaii.

The weather has been doing screwy things here. Real warm for this time of year - almost spring-time temps, and lots of rain. It feels more like April then January.
