Nice...though I would have no use for it :)
The display! It's not purple!

It is a daily reminder to the truth of Purple...
:p
very nice display on that one though...whats the battery life like on it?
I'll buy it for a dollar. :D
in fact, I'd never even use it. :D

green won by 129,300,000 hits. :D
Why? Is it plurple exile?
No, it's white. I wouldn't have asked for one if it was plurple.
(GREEN)
Clearly, in an effort to uphold election standards, Green team has edited your message. We would expect the same from you. :D
And sorry Jack, looks like this went off topic...

Oh, and LONG LIVE PURPLE!

Single Alkaline AAA battery last ~12 hours continuos play. The menu display and the Blue LED shut off after a few seconds. The more I use the menu etc the lower the battery life of course.
That's quite amzing to me though! :D
My Rio PMP300 will eat up a Single Alkaline AA in about 2-6 hours...
;)
I also love the Blue LED used for activity indicator. The menu display is actually more of a greenish-blue, but came out green in the pic above.
This is Alien Tech for a priest of the Purple Sect... :p
I highly recommend you pick up a rechargeable AAA, Jack. 12 hours is a long time, but you'll still eat through batteries rapidly. I grabbed one for my Muvo NX and it didn't have any less battery time.
Actually... That thought was already on my mind! ;)

Not at all visible when your in the shadows....
:D :p
so what your saying is plurple likes to die a slow painful death from radiation poisoning?
back to main topic....
how are rechargables these days? last time I tried rechargable batteries they tended to last ~2 hours, then needed 6 hours recharging.
(This was ohhh....6+ years ago)
(note: PURPLE! )
ahh...personal cloaking devices...

A couple questions...
Where is that picture taken?
And how can I get an unblemished copy of it...
:)
That's beautiful...
:D
(and the display light is purple btw!)

That has a lot to do with the type of rechargable. You can get Ni Cadmium, NiMH, Lithium, etc. NiCad dies quickly for most things, but is the cheapest. I use NiMH and they seem to last well for electronics.
There are several considerations:
Current vs Time curve. A lot of electronics require a mininum current to run. Non-rechargables are fairly flat for most of their lives, then the current drops off rapidly. NiCad tends to drop off throughout their whole life - this means that they don't last well for electronics, but will do fine in flash lights and for motors. I don't know what the curves look like for NiMH and Lithium batteries, but generally those two are what one should use with electronics. Just be careful and make sure the electronics component can take the rechargable. They don't have the same voltage as Alkaline (NiMH is 1.2V where Alkaline is 1.5V for a AA battery).
