well, I found an apartment. :D

Heading to Flagler College in St. Augustine Florida. AKA the oldest city in the USA, massive tourist destination, historic campus, etc.

Get this:

1 block from campus
-LARGE bedroom, I'd say no less then 12x14
-Large living room, with full kitchen. I share a bathroom with one other person.
-Brand New apartments, I'll be the first tenent in my room
-Historic building, newly rennovated
-Second Floor, overlooking the city. The side overlooking the ocean was taken. :(
-Downstairs has a quite study room, and an entertainment room with big screen TV. Free to use. Study area has 5 PC's provided, on DSL
-PARKING SPACE. (If you've ever been to St. Augustine, you'll appreciate this one)
-Every Room has DSL access, price included in rent
-Rent includes water, sewer, trash, and 100$ a month electric (You pay anything over 100$ a month)

And guess how much?
700$?
Nope

$550 a month.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. So guys, you WON"T be rid of me next semester! :D

  • In other words - he's given enough info that we can find his place - knock on the door - and crash there the next time any of us are in Florida. :p

Sounds like a damn nice place! I'm currently in love with this one I found up here in Rochester.

1280 square feet, two bedroom two walk-in closet, two bath, free water, free cable, all appliances (woo! Washer/dryer), free fitness center access, and during the summer, I get to use the pool :D Apparently, I'm getting ripped off at $390/month + utilities (around $90/month), but hey, back on LI (Cableguy , you can probably vouch for this :D) I would barely be able to get a cardboard box *with* newspaper for that price. Of course, parking space is included, though first-come, first-serve when it comes to getting one right outside the door.

Anyway, take pictures when you move in! I'm curious how they did it up :D

Not a bad price, I just looked for an apartment in the Port Saint Lucie/Stuart area, looks around $800/month for a nice big place,

Which is the same as i pay up here in maine where i'm freezin my ass off.
