Actually P90 uses pretty much only armor piercing rounds. (5.7x28mm)
HK UMP chambered for .45 ACP would fit much better for hollow point rounds. :D

Yes, the FN P90 and the Five seveN both use the 5.7x28mm small-bore round.
It is available in AP, Tracer, Sub-sonic, and duty/training rounds. The AP round has an insane muzzle velocity of 2133fps (650m/s) in the Five-seveN, and 2346 fps (715m/s) in the P90.
The 5.7x28mm round is particularly devistating due to it's ballistic design. Unlike other rounds, which mushroom or pierce through the target, the 5.7 is designed to "tumble" once it enters a target.
So, the AP rounds out of a '90 or 57 may actually be more devastating than a UMP with .45 HPRs
I've been looking at the Five-seveN for a while, which is why I have an almost freakish knowledge about it. Sweet looking gun. As Reaver said, it is the chambered companion to the p90.
Personally, I like the FNC better, though ;)

I'd recommend either +p or +p+ high quality 9mm HP if you like high capacity and are willing to trade
some power, or .45 Hydra-Shok's if you want more punch. :)

So kinetic energies would also have to be considered.
(after all we're not talking about targets requiring "armor" penetration)
