    Where is the Half-Life2 Collector's edition in a tin box? Last I saw it was a wide heavy duty cardboard or plastic box like the Warcraft II collectors.

    I'm about to start work on my own plush headcrab and snarks. I'm thinking 1 headcrab and two snarks. :D

    Thanks to a wonderful tool that converts models into patterns someone at HL2.net found. :D

    just bought the fabric and fabric paints today. :D

    Yea, the houndeyes rocked...can't wait for Black Mesa: Source so I can see an updated version...same for the bullsquid and snarks. I LOVED THOSE!!

    (Thats why I'm making two snarks and one headcrab) The thing that got me, why did'nt the guy pit the seams on the INSIDE like a normal person would?

    WTF? Ripoff...I received no tin, just a (somewhat lame) oversized cardboard box with the aforementioned DVD, reference card, "Atkin's Edition" Strategy Guide, and a very cheap tee shirt.

    Lining it up: Q3 Collectors: Tin Box
    RTCW: Tin Box, RTCW Patch
    UT2k4 CE: Tin ..er...sleeve, Comm Headset
    JK2 CE: Tin Box, JK1 and 2, & tres cool Key Chain
    Halo 2 CE: Tin DVD Case + Extras DVD

    I will say this about Sierra....at least they are consistant. There appears to be no limit to which they will screw one over for a buck.

    Amazing. Absolutely amazing.

    True.. gay lil sleeve dvd box, the t-shirt and the tiny booklet aren't much of a "collectors" items..

    Atleast WoW has a kick ass stuff inside their box. But after all... it's Blizzard!

    The stuff with Warcraft III Collector's box was awsome too. I loved that Art of warcraft book, and the DVD actually had the cinematics from all three games, which I thought was cool.

    the guy is now selling them for the cost of materials+Labor on e-bay. :D

    (seems about right, assuming 1 hours labor, seamstress are expencive..)

    Just to peep out again, methinks that the tin box is for us European customers. After all, the Collector's Edition was published in Europe as late as the 10th of Decembewr.

    As for you US bastards, ;) you got there way ahead of us. And all we got more was a cookie-container. :D

    The plush headcrab would've been damn cool. That'd be the thing to sell any collector's edition of a game... include a plush game character, npc or a monster in it. :) Now what would've you paid up for an edition of HL2 that would've come with a [url=http://www.realdoll.com]Real Doll[/URL] Alyx? ;) Or a plush headcrab? Or Half-Life Source with a plush Gonarch or a Snark?

    I'm guessing that a Real Doll included -version of the next Tomb Raider game would also make it very nicely to the media and generate some good PR. :D
