Transformers

Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
Read all the comics today.. atleast what I found on that one big torrent..

And I got an itch for 'em again.. Especially after looking at that Megatron statue I linked here a while back...

Any of you wouldnt know a good place to buy some good old fashioned transformers toys? Not these shitty armada etc ones.. but the classics or similar?

Not on ebay.. well.. Might have to give it a check now that I think I should get paypal working...

oh yea.. have to say.. the funny thing I've found out, is that the swedish dub for the first vhs for the series I had as a kid, it was a lot better than the english one..

    *sniff*

wish I hadnt sold it when I was broke..

Even if I did get this one a bit later..

If you can look for the new Alternators line of Transformers.

They're basically remakes of G1 Transformers, except that the vehicle mode is a real licensed vehicle. The vehicle modes are very detailed, with opening doors and hood, and even detailed interiors (seats, dashboard, steering wheel, etc.).

Curent Alternators use a lot of different auto models such as the Subaru Impreza WRX (Silverstreak) and the Subaru Impreza Rally version (Bluestreak), Dodge Viper, Jeep Wrangler, Mustang, Mazda RX8, and a few others.
  • Saw those Alternators on the store shelf the other day, and I was impressed!! Granted you can't beat Gen1 (or even Gen2, which was about the time I came of age in it), and I sold most of my G1 and G2 Transformers about 8-10 years ago for my soul and about $32....definately regretting that one (especially for my kids).

I miss the good old days...quality toys...

I'd have to say my favorite transformer was actually JetFire...Y'know, the one that was ACTUALLY a Robotech unit, but somehow Transformers got ahold of it? Don't know the story behind that one...but yeah, metal body, attachments...pretty cool...would you believe the first one I had AND the second one that I found fully intact at a garage sale...one of the arm-shoulder joints broke on both of them...DAMMIT!
