Basically, it's a screensaver that sends request to various spam sites.
When you have alot of people doing this, it raises their bandwidth bills, alot.
and when you have ALOT of people doing this, it overloads the network systems, making them slow down. :D

Furthermore, you may also bring down legitimate sites in the process.
Just a little something to keep in mind before you jump on the bandwagon. :)
Pssst! I hope you folks realize that by running this, you're aiding in a low-level DDoS and I don't think I need to remind you that it is QUITE illegal in the US for damn sure...and don't think they will only go after the creator and not the people running it.

Damn friggin' straight. Most (responsible) ISPs will sh**can your account if they figure out you're pulling a stunt like this; if you're a college/university student, you'll almost certainly lose your campus ISP account and any related privileges (some campuses might even consider such activities grounds for expulsion as well). No responsible ISP or college/university wants their resources used for DDoS attacks of any kind, even if the intended targets are spammers.
Heh... I'm beginning to think this thread actually is a result of some plant "studies", if ya know what I mean...;) :D :p
