    I'm not actually sure, probably a bit of both but more horror than happiness. If it was being done by an american company, it'd be pure horror.

    Rough translation of the introduction page (I don't know some of the kanji and I'm too lazy to look them up):

    "A deeply detailed world and [something] characters, the science fiction role playing game that has collected lots of die-hard fans [I'm paraphrasing here based on being able to read half a word] has become a long awaited television anime.
    Set after thousands of years in space, with the heroine Shion Uzuki and the female battle android KOS-MOS at the centre, this new world space opera is [doing something to do with occuring]."

    So basically not a hell of a lot of details. :) It appears as if it's sticking to the first game, if that artwork is anything to go by. It's due for broadcast in January next year (wednesdays, in the usual o-dark-hundred timeslot that most animes get).

    Well, that depends on what you define anime as. You can't just say "people like anime," that would be like saying "people like TV." Anime is a medium, not a genre. This sort of anime is probably equivalent to scifi in the US. There are anime shows that get shown at more reasonable times and are aimed at wider audiences, such as long running soap opera-ish stories.
