    I'll throw in my two cents here, I think it depends on the dialect and the speaker. Different people can make either language sound both "rough" and "soft." I mean, if you compare Skåne swedish to average articulate finnish, I'll say finnish sounds better. But I guess it depends how you define soft too.

    Swedish and Finnish are two different language groups. Swedish is germanic and Finnish is realated to hungarian, estonian and some tribal languages out east of the urals. those will disappear in the next 100 years :(
