I have been having problems with my DVD player on my computer. For some times it runs a DVD's Fine, and other times(EG: Most of the time) it does not work right.

Edit:
Today I was trying to play Arika, and when I put it in the first time it ran fine, but i had to restart and it did not load right, it seems all my dvd's do this to me.. Heh, my DVD player loads CD's fine.

What model DVD drive is it? What firmware version, and have you tried upgrading to the latest? Are you using a hacked firmware?
What DVD software? If the software fails to play the disc can you still browse the files on it in a file explorer?

I had an Acer do that to me. If its not reading disks correctly, then I suggest you purchase a lens cleaner CD. (basically, its a normal CD with brushes embedded into the plastic that literally brushes debris off of the lens.) If you still have problems, then you may have to face the fact that the drive is slowly dying. (like the Acer I had before did...)

Its a LG MOdel: DRD-8160B...I'm not shure about the firmware and I'v have never updated it, and I have had the PLayer for over 2 years.

The DVD Software I have right now is Zoom Player Pro. And no. I can not browse the file in explorer, Like I said it does not load at all.

I'll try to get a lens cleaner CD

It could be a dirty lens, then, or it could just be dying. If it can't read it in a file explorer either then it's definitely to do with just the drive, I think.
