It's all some weird Vorlon plot, did you see how cryptic she was, she's not a survivor of an expidition, she's a minbari, the vorlons sent her to that island...

She had one quote that reminds me about something from B5, very enjoyable. But what are "the others".....she said they control the transmission now.
I kept expecting her to say something like "the others hide in shadows"
All the way up to episode 9 (havent watched it yet though)... and I have to say its gunna piss me off if jack and kate dont hook up... Sawyer is making more sense by the episode, but he still can be a prick. I would definately say he has a death wish. Lots of lingering questions, but what can you do... Haha for every episode that solves one question it brings up 15 other questions. About time for the monster thing to show back up, dontcha think?

Hmmm what other show was like that, I think it was some space show, coulda been set on a space station.... :)
hmm..yes....there are some similarities I suppose, both about people "trapped" in a limited area (spacestation/island)....unknown enemies (shadows/monsters)...minbari in both shows...

Which is why I think we all like lost so much... :) Oh yea one other thing I was thinking about- anyone see some of the similarities between Lost and Lord of the Flies? I mean they are minor, and nothing too amazing, but its still kinda cool.

I like to say that Lost is a mix of:
Alive
Jurassic Park
Island Of Dr.Moreau
Cast Away
That was awesome, I thought there was something fishy about the guy when Hurley asked for his name. He looked kinda guilty. And it did seem a little odd that he was the first person that Dom's charecter ran into when he was going for help. At most though I was wondering if he was the one who attacked the girl. I was not expecting the "others'' to already be infiltrating the survivors.
Oh, and Saheed's leg was already messed up in the previous episode right? Or are we supposed to believe that the source of the voices attacked him.
Very impressed with this show so far! Like it alot. Have got up to episode 6 at the moment. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Btw I assume JJ Abrams is still involved with Alias? If so it will be interesting to see how he handles the Josh Whedon approach of working on more than 1 show at a time.
BigglesThe Man Without a Face
I am most impressed with this program. I just hope it has a planned ending and doesn't try to go on forever. One season following the current pattern would be ideal.
A#: re: the end of episode 9: remind you of the Ways at all? :D
I was kind of disappointed that they didn't kill off you know who - I like that character a lot, I'm sorta happy he survived; but I really hate it when a writer jerks us around like that.
If you're going to kill somebody, don't half-ass the job and change your mind at the last minute.

I kinda have to agree there. It would have sucked if he'd died, but it would have sucked in a good way.

Then sure. ;) :D
I knew it! The island is the remains of the Thunderbirds base!
And was it just me, or was whats his name like, kinda super-human. He handeled Jack with no problem, single handedly drags two people away, and
Spoiler: manages to HANG A PERSON FOM A TREE BY HIMSELF
How. The. F**K?!?
"THEY wanted her"
He wasn't alone
