That's pretty incredible.. Even though there was some hammy acting in the first episode, I felt like it'd be hated by the general public for not being a hamburger series...
Hope it wont be a one season wonder. If they have plans for longer than that that is..

Cannot understand how you can run a series like this for several seasons though...limited to one island...so I suppose there will be big story/plot changes

yea. I mean, even if noone knew exactly where they were, no matter how much off course, they should be found earlier than the end of one season (if 1 season=1 year)..
So, all in all, i'd be happy with it being a one long "movie". Just one short season with a proper ending for all plot points.
Here are my thoughts after watching only the first episode... I will update as I watch more episodes. First I Really liked it, Im hooked- very very intreaguing.
The dog has to have something to do with it. From what I have seen so far, the creature is nocturnal perhaps? Or at least light sensitive? Both "sightings" occur at night or at dark (during the sudden storm). Other than that I have no idea. Hopefully the next few episodes will help me understand :) Oh yea one thing I forgot to add- first the Charlie character seems either not quite all there or just odd in general- something fishy about him. And what was with the guy running up to the cockpit right before the plane crashed?
Well after that, I can say I am definately hooked on this show. The suspense that was building up at the end was just incredible... Havent been this hooked by a TV show in a long time, so much of whats out there is complete crap. Now Im scared at how they will take this, bc there are soooo many ways that it could become really stupid. Few quick comments, the thing with charley now makes alot of sense. Who the hell is the guy that whipped out the gun, the prick talkin guy. I hate the Japeniese guy, I just dont like guys that are bastards to their wives or girlfriends... so yea dont like him. The guy who was playing backgammon (the Zen type guy with the bald head) is very intreaguing, very cool actor so far. Hopefully Ill get to see some of episode 3 tonight before I head of to get some sleep.

Actually I thought at that time that he was a pedophile (the bald man).....
Hahaha, nah I am curious what his secret was- and Icould see how you would think he is a pedophile, but I dont know just didnt strike me as one... His good and evil speach really is cool after watching that little part again, nice forshadowing (if somewhat blatently obvious)
Another good episode, although nothing too huge happened. Curious as to whether Jack finished the botched mercy killing of the Marshall? Just noticed that the sounds stopped right before he left the tent. The ending was interesting also, with very positive things happening and then the dynamic change of music as you get the pan over to Locke (assuming I heard his name correctly, perhaps an allusion to the philosopher John Locke?). Characters are becoming more fleshed out, still has me interested. Off to watch the fourth episode.
EDIT: It just hit me, within the first 10 seconds of the fourth episode. I assume the miracle has to do with Locke and his legs. Thats why there was a wheelchair onboard, thats why hes wiggling his toes. Wow, assuming Im not reading this all wrong that is very cool- he was paralyzed but now hes... not

Now that you've gotten this far ;)
Last Wednesdays (5th ep?) is fairly cool too...
Lots of drama...
Great White Hunter indeed! :D
Dude is finally coming into his own! I only wish that little piss-ant fuck-stick of a boss of his had been on the plane and one of the survivors... what sweet revenge that would be... :p
Another good episode, very curious about what exactly happened with the whole boar ordeal- what did Locke really see? Definately would like to see that coworker of Lockes on that island, that piece of shit. So anyways, cant really think of anything else to add yet, just another good episode. Ill prolly watch the 5th one tommorow or sunday. Oh quick questions, what happens when Charlie runs out of his crack stash? That should be an interesting little problem. Oh yea, that guy in the suit is freaking me out- popping out of nowhere and watching.
Not much plot material in this one, but got to know alot more about Jack. Im really curious as to what happened to his father- is there another miracle that happened? The whole empty casket thing is very weird. Hopefully episode 6 will explain that one. Nice episode to just kinda take a breath and pull everything together before another plot twist I think... Well now Im gunna watch the 6th episode and then I should be caught up all the way.
EDIT: Lockes comment about the islands "beauty" is very interesting... Kinda is a shift from my thinking that there is a very evil and sinister part of the island (but also there is a good part, seen in the one-or two-miracles that have happened). But maybe thats what its all about, the "one white, one dark" speech again.
Episodes seem to be slowing down a little bit, but I think that this is all building up for some major plot twist. Interesting that they split everyone into two seperate camps, dont really know how that one will play out. Was very interesting to see that Adam and Eve had two stones, one white, one black... Another allusions to the island? Interesting background on the Korean couple... Cant think of anything else interesting, except for the fact that two seperate camps on the same island is a bad idea in my mind.

not really, it just means thatthe airline wouldn't transport the body, and to shut jack up, they sent an empty casket.
Or someone emptied the casket....or his father just walked out of it himself :)
I cant imagine sending an empty casket- I mean that would really be asking for a lawsuit... Yea sorry, Im not very good with other languages, I stand corrected: Korean it is. Looking forward to this weeks episode.
