I'm going to Copy and paste my post from SFM...
And its so far I'm hating it.... Its realy realy fucking stupid.... Some parts where good. But i'm Like WTF... Why Is'nt Canada doing anything? You would except them to attack with the germans Next door, or you would except the Germans to invade Canada to.... And What about Japan, you would except them to attack as well... Or atleast some mention of them... Even worse... When the resistance attacked the Germans, It was just like a gun fight from Rat Patrol, One Gun and 500 dead Germans... With Looses like that how did the Germans ever invade America... God Damn it.... Also i'm getting sick of Hollywood Consintrating on Germany bad few years.
If i'm going to make a movie about WW2, I'm going to Completely Ignore the USA just like they do to canada all the time.
I think the guy from ex-astris-scientia.org is going to have alot to say about this aswell.

I would love to see you try. Hey, why don't you do one better, and not mention those damned glory-hogging Germans in the movie, either. I swear, almost every World War II movie always the Germans in it, like they were major players or something.

Well, duh. Apparently, some people are annoyed when their country is continually cast as the bad guys in war movies, just because they happened to be the aggressors in two out of two world wars. Just like I was annoyed with people giving me a bunch of crap about Florida elections for the past four years.
So, yeah, he probably won't like it. In fact, he fairly decided to loath it months ago when that cliffhanger happened. He as much as said that it ruined the episode for him. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if much of his "review" consisted of more bitching about the way Hollywood uses Nazis as their stock villain, almost as if they somehow are the most famous bad guys in history.

Still does not explain why Canada is always ignored....... We did play a big role in WW2.
So did Australia (hell, the entire Pacific campaign might well have been a lost cause if Australia had fallen to Japan) and India as well. The reason why Canada (and other Commonwealth nations that were not still colonies at the time) probably don't get much recognition is because their army, naval, and air forces usually fought as part of the British armed forces (except in the Pacific theater of operations, where the Australian and NZ forces were - obviously - more numerous). Few historians seem to recognize or emphasize that, and most seem content to lump the Commonwealth nations' military forces in with the British forces as a result, rather than giving the Commonwealth nations credit where it is certainly due.
Absolutely, In both the North African theater & New Guinea they took the blunt of the Axis sword. Especially in New Guinea in the early days in that brutal jungle fighting. Mcarthur depended on them for a few of his failed offensives. I don't remember reading bout them in the Philippines. One of my favorite games is PTO 2 (Pacific Theater of Operations 2) which doesn't reflect it 100% but its damn close. LOVE commadeering the Yamato she my favorite battleship.

There was a few mentions of that whole Pacific theater thing. The nice lady who helped Archer mention that the Enterprise had sunk a while before (which, in real history, came home in one piece and was the most decorated ship of the war). There were a few other mentions that things weren't exactly going that well with the Japanese.
As for Canada, my guess is they would be proving support to the part of America that hadn't yet been occupied. Remember, this was set in German central, and the folks in there weren't too happy about the U.S. military falling back and letting the Germans have New York. And, really, how much would you be concerned about other countries if you were living in enemy-occupied territory. I somehow doubt that, say, the Maquis were bringing up how the war was going in England every night.

Actually, I thought it was an interesting historical allusion. Much has been made about how, during the Revolutionary War, the British Redcoats had a habit of marching in well-lit areas, surrounded by dense brush, in bright red uniforms, allowing Revolutionary minutemen hidden in the forest to shoot at them with impunity.
This was pretty much the same thing. Something like five german soldiers on a truck, the leader of whom was busy making the moves on Captain Archer, attacked by an indeterminate number of mobsters in the forest armed with machine guns and the element of surprise.
Given that they managed to kill the driver in the first barrage, it's no wonder that they were able to win the engagement.

I wouldn't call it "concentrating". It's not like there haven't been movies about other wars. It's just that, being the largest of the recent wars, it has a lot more material that can be covered.
Look at it this way. I'm sure that once you attempt to take over the world, and are killed by your own underlings because of a poorly-worded and/or spelled decree, you'll have a bunch of movies. If you invade most of a continent, set up death camps, have an insane superiority complex, and frequently give overblown speeches, you might even have a full genre. Then, some day, sixty years later, some punk-assed kid from Mexico will be complaining about how unfair it is that Canada keeps having historical movies made about its bad period, as if it were somehow one of the most interesting things to happen in recent history.
