lol, all the squirrels here do is play russian roulette with speeding cars. ;) Darwinism at work, I tell you!
yes I read about that too. At first they thought it was magma from 1996 finally getting to the top, but now it looks like there may be more.. now that there is more gas.

It's definitely the Indonesian one. I didn't fly over the phillipines until the 2nd leg of my flight. Good to know what it is. Unfortunately my homeward flight is at night so I won't get a chance to get a better photo.

Yesterday they observed a hot spot of 500-600°C on the uplifted portion. This is the first thermal imaging run since last week.
New Lava Dome Growing on Mount St. Helens
By RUKMINI CALLIMACHI, Associated Press Writer
MOUNT ST. HELENS, Wash. - Volcanic rock has flowed to the surface of Mount St. Helens' crater, creating a new lava dome after weeks of seismic activity, a geologist said Tuesday.
Scientists had known for days that magma or molten rock was nearing the surface, as a bulge grew on the south side of the existing 1,000-foot lava dome and the increasingly hot rock gave off steam as it met water and ice in the crater. The bulge is now considered a new lava dome, the scientists said.
Today was a little bit interesting, still, were waiting to see if Seismic activity resumes before we know if were gonna get another show.
After all, Black Holes are where God devided by zero, of course.

They say they think new magama has moved into the chamber...and are now predicting a "large" eruption...
