  To me laser seem like the better choice for the missile defense system. A system that can be fired at multiple incoming targets, and if it misses, fired again. Can also be fired several times, to make sure it did not eliminate a decoy the first time.
  
  As opposed to the interceptor method, which requires two importance choices be made correctly. First, the target is the actual warhead, and not a decoy, and second the course is correct to intercept. If either one of those choices are in correct on the interceptors part, the whole system fails.

  Abovetopsecret isn't always the best source to use for info on classified or high-tech systems. The forums alone are more insult or supposition/conspiracy theory than I'd like to see and still read.
  
  It can be a funny read, though...at times :)
