Does anyone know if there is a book called Arc Welding For Dummy's?

I love to weld (too bad I don't own a welder), there is something very theraputic about the sound of putting down a good even bead. Its one of the few activities in which I can get completely lost.
I actually met my wife for the very first time while I was welding. A friend of mine had a race car that had been wrecked and we were in the middle of repairing it, when she stopped by house we were working at. I was so lost in my work that, even thought there was this beautiful woman there, I just flipped up my helmet and went back to work....good thing we started talking at a party the next day...

BTW: Biggles, if I'm a suit that can weld, can I stay on the board? ;)
Actually, theres no welding involved. The course (one year) is called blacksmithing, and thats exactly what it is. We use old methods and old tools (think 19th century and before) the first two weeks we even go out into the forest to mine some ore, and fix coal (dont know what the methods name is in english its called kolmila in swedish).

Being a blacksmith would be übercool, but if I was going to learn a trade it would be coachbuilding, i.e. the hand fabrication of automotive panels and car bodies. Learning to use tools such as a brake, an english wheel, hammer and dolly, etc. would be great!
Yeah, its going to be great. Im just a wee bit nervous (more than little if I think about it). Going to live at the school (and theres only five computers with modems)..
