Exercising...seriously

Now tell me if im wrong here but Im guessing most of you consider keyboarding all the exercise you need :D . Just wondering if anyone does serious exercising like running or body building. Right now I run anywhere from 30-40 mins and a two hour run at the end of the week. Im also workin on my abs doing crunchs in sets of 60 then at 10, 150. not much of an effect tho I guess I need to push harder.

I bicykle 30mins about 3 times every week. You got to remember to give your muscles time to rest and get stronger.
• Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
I used to go to gym about 3 times a week for 5 months and got just more mass or something.. Next month I will start going 4-5 times a week, hope will get some muscle structure too... :/ well

Something that shows.

Shadow Dancer: what did you go into surgery for? Im guessing your knees?
• My fingers are so muscular that my pale, spindly arms have trouble lifting them. :D

I do a variety of weight lifting about three times a week and calisthenics every day. I also do Bas Rutten's Mixed Martial Arts workout from time to time, can't really afford to be in the high-calorie diet I need so the cardio is sort of left in the corner for now.

I'm starting teaching self-defense, trying to convince some friends to start sparring with me, and I'm looking to start training in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or some form of submission fighting.

• From what I understand, the exercise choice of celebrities. I'd avoid it if I were you. :p

Nah; I use the Dvorak layout.
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
I've been considering switching to that for quite a while. I'm also wishing I had lots of disposable income to throw on a keyboard so I could get this.

If I have time, I walk anywhere I want to go. I reckon I'd prolly walk about 20-25km a week easy...
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
To be honest rather than joking, I do actually walk half an hour each day through the nearby domain (think a big chunk of bush and fields on a hill in the middle of the city), plus my trip home includes a 10 minute walk through town to the bus stop (mostly hills) that is probably worse for me due to pollution than good for me due to exercise.

My favorite! I was just thinking of that scene when Sheridan gets the shit kicked out of him & the music is going (still havent found out who did that song either) & the lights flashing :D.
• 30-60 pushups a day
50-100 crunches

Plus whatever my job calls for. (Weedeating large areas, tree trimming, brush removal, heavy lifting, etc)
And Karate once a week. Which is a better workout then you might guess...
(Try throwing 200 kicks in a row, each one properly done, quickly, and see how you feel. :D :D)

What one does is that they elevate their legs and their upper body, so only the butt is touching the ground. Then one more or less holds that position. Its a major major major workout for the abs.
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
Sounds like far too much effort.

ABS-solutely NOT for me! :p

Uuhhm excercise? Yeah I guess you could call it that. I race mountain bikes and my training consists of about 2 to 3 hours a day on a roadbike at least 3 to 4 days monday through friday, thats about 40 to 60 miles a day. Saturday and sunday I'll hit the trails on the mountain bike for anywhere between 3 to 5 hours. I log anywhere around 200 to 275 miles a week or more. I really do it for the sheer enjoyment and competiveness of the sport. Excercise and being fit is the side effect. Excercise just for the sake of being fit is boring as hell in my opinion. Do something you enjoy.

I had a Vorlon in my head once, I KILLED IT!

I used to. I did 50 push ups after I woke, and 50 before I went to bed. I also bicycled a lot. And a looong time ago, I swam. But now, I dont have time for it. Smithing 6 hours a day might help my body a bit though..
