Oh me oh my there are so many awesome cars out there these days! Would love to own an Aston Martin (the bond car). Personally Im a big fan of Porsche, I would love to own a 911 turbo one day. Prolly wouldn't get a chance to use its full potential but still its a b-e-a utiful car.
Comments
Aston Martin DB9 (the new one)
Corvette Stingray (1965?)
but id settle for a Purgeot 206;)
currently tho I'm liking Subarus, old ones, cos they have such a cheap and cheerful functionality. I'm buying this one on Monday with any luck :

thier engines as I stated in my journal, started life in Japanese WW2 trainer aircraft. They were air cooled orginally too, the very early Subaru cars were also air cooled. Sorta like the japanese idea of a VW.
the one pictured above has a dirty great nut under the rear seat. If you crank it over, the rear suspension rises to a maximum of another additional 6 inches or so.
The whole car is really light and practica and they are next to bullet proof. It's not unknown for these to last for half a million clicks. More often than not the tinwork dies long before the drive does. They also love to be revved, like most boxer engines do, especially short stroke ones that you often find in aircraft.
An odd choice I guess given the plethora of cars out there. I like alot of stuff for alot of reasons. If you set me some categories I could get more specific... for example
Muscle car =
1969 'S' code 390 Mustang
Yanktank/LedSled =
1970 Lincoln Towncar
Out and out driving car =
Mclaren F1
Rice rocket =
Subaru WRX
modernish pocket rocket =
Peugot 206GTI, the square set little 1.9 litre one
Shaggin'Waggin =
late square headlight XC Ford Falcon Panel Van
4WD =
Landcruiser Troopie
Minis will always be one of my all time favourites, period. (not the BMW clone)
I like the Smart car, what the new mini should have been. cheap, cheerful, tiny and innovative
I like the Holden Ute. Who can argue with what should be the son of the EL-Camino..:)
I hope they can sort out the problems with exporting them to the USA.
I'd love to see a 454 version of the Ute, or a modern 32 valve or something.
The EL Camino is my fave ute/pickup. Can't pick a specific one, I'd have to do my research to find out which year is the one I like.
And I'm sure Sanfam will spam this thread to death..:)
65-67? Corvette Stingray
Jaguar E-Type Series 1

VF-19 > Cessna 182!
1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda w/ Shaker Scoop
1971 Plymouth Hemi/440 Road Runner
1971 Lincoln Mark III
1972 Volvo P1800E
1973 Volvo P1800ES
1975 Bricklin SV-1
1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 500 w/EFI (500 foot pounds of torque from a 500 ci v8 pulling a sedan weighing over 2 tons)
1982 Volvo 262C Bertone Coupe
1983.5 Delorean DMC-12 (Best of the years, but only my favorite once it gets a Northstar :D)
1989-90 Chrysler Town and Country Turbo Minivan :D
1990 Volvo 780 Bertone Coupe (Turbo I4, not V6)
1996 Lincoln Mark Viii
1996 Chevrolet Impala SS
Of all these, the Caddie, Lincoln Continental, and Road Runner are my favorites.
The Cadillac is just fucking huge. There is no way to adequately describe how cool this car is. It's one of the biggest cars ever made, second (I believe) to the Lincoln Continental, and it comes with the the largest (and perhaps one of the first) Fuel Injected engines in any production car ever. Trunk space exceeds the volume of many modern midsize sedans, and the mass alone is worthy of noting. This is the pinacle of American Excess.
The Lincoln Continental is pure art. It is smooth, sexy, and very functional. Notable styling features include it's pair of rear suicide doors, the four-wide headlights, the tall rear, and the smoothing of the traditional fins of the era to become a part of the greater theme of the car. The 1963 model had what I believe to be the best grille of the run. With all of the individual styling cues in one unitary body, the whole package just radiated class.
I have always been in love with the design of the Road Runner. The way that the front looks like it's waiting to pounce on whatever may cross its path. The high rear quarters standing tall, unifying the whole body and making it look that much more sinister. The way the engine just roars to life with even the slightest touch of the accelerator...
