    That's what 4x4's are for! None of this smooth lines and shiny clean surfaces and only ever driven on city roads SUV crap! :)

    Yes, but with the droughts and heat waves we've been getting for the last couple decades, it doesn't stay year round any more...

    Biggles: Gotta agree with you on 4x4s; damn near every other vehicle here in Albuquerque is a luxury SUV or pickup that will never see dirt or gravel roads and are usually driven by folks who'd never dream of driving on a 4x4 trail...:mad: (It doesn't help that this one state where 4wd-suitable roads and trails are quite common outside of most towns and the few cities here. :rolleyes: )

    JackN: Just where in the Sierras is that? I'm thinking it's near the John Muir Wilderness area, but I can't find it on my DeLorme atlas.

    East of Fishcamp (Hwy 41 before the entrance to Yosemite) South of Yosemite National Park. Supposedly the border of the ( Ansel Adams? or John Muir? ) Wilderness...

    :) ~8,000 ft elevation...
