oh this is so cool...
A2597
Fanboy
in Zocalo v2.0
just got my ATI Remote Wonder...
and BOY is it neat. I can control every aspect of my PC from anywhere in my house. volume, programs, DVDs...even total mouse control.
To bad it doesn't have a full keyboard, thats all that is missing. :D
I started winamp, advanced to the song I wanted, started the browser, navigated to firstones forums, and started this topic all without touching my mouse or keyboard until I started to type. How cool is THAT?

I have been wanting one of them - but haven't been willing to spend the cash yet.
And C_Mon: When you use your computer to watch TV and Movies, you need a remote. My VCR hooks to my TV Tuner on my Computer. My Computer plays movies via it's DVD. It is my only TV and only DVD player. Thus I need a remote. I plan to get one once I find a job. Unfortunately I am STILL looking for one...2 months since I graduated from college! &*(&*^$$#$#@$%
My stereo: Check
My DVD Player: Check
my TV: Not Check
I need a TV Tuner card. I also need a 60inch plasma screen...but that part can wait. :D
I can browse the net from across the room now, no problem. :)
Yeah, but can you read it?
20/15 vision baby!
I remember when I first got my glasses (which I don't wear), I was amazed at being able to make out individual leaves while driving on the highway, and everything was so much more distinct and three-dimensional. Of course, they also give me migraines. :p
I ruined my eyesight by reading too much at night. :(
Hmm.. are you sure about that? I remember reading several scientific articles about the whole night-reading-ruins-your-eyes thing being a myth.
Looking out my window... I can't see any individual blades of grass; we don't have any. I can, however, make out individual weeds for about twenty feet. :p

I can top that. first time I put on my glasses I was amzed at being able to make out the huge text on the posters at wal-mart. (Cheapest place to fill glasses prescriptions)
you might try contacts BTW. That should erradicate the migrain problem. :D

Agreed; I used to read in the dark all the time as a kid, still have great vision.

Yes, reading in the dark does not affect your eyesight in that way.

I repeatedly tried to explain that when my doctor sent me to a fucking physical therapist, but no one seems to believe me. Not wearing anything is just as easy. :)
I do understand the physical theripist though. Try a Chiropractor. Thats how I got rid of my migrains. (Seriously, took but one adjustment and I was headach free for over a month. and concidering I would get migrains VERY frequently...well. :) )
problem is my eyes cant agree which one is dominate so focusing is odd, it messes with my shooting.
soo....the act of putting the contacts in would give you a migrain? Yikes...

I just know that being able to see the rims of my glasses causes pain... it feels like sort of having said rims jammed into my eyes until they scrape the back of my skull. And I still don't think it's anything a chiropractor could fix. Considering what causes it, I think I'm just crazy. :p

I'm curious, how did you react to the glaucoma test?

I recommend avoiding the ATI TV Wonder VE Remote Control Edition. My computer crashes every 15 minutes or so when watching TV with that thing and the software it came with it, even when updated. You lose around 5 minutes getting your computer started up again.
