I suppose if you were a complete idiot it would be easy to not understand any of those books (what with their unconventional styles), but...
Incidentally, this reminds me of a couple of contrarian reviews I've seen on Amazon. I always like to look at the other reviews that person has left, and they all tend to be the lone "awful" review for a given product.
Examples:

Everything about Peter David's writing is accurate---he does excel at writing/expanding on great television shows, and this book is no exception. However, I found it very difficult to enjoy since there a gross contradictions in the Babylon 5 timeline. Fans of the series will remember Londo visiting Sheridan and Delenn on Minbar to give them the urn at the end of Season 5. That season is 2262. For some reason, Peter David places this in 2264 or 2265. Why? I have no idea, but how can these books be considered canon with such contradictions rampant? Also, Garibaldi appears to still have his job with the Alliance after a point in the series where he was placed on suspension for being drunk. If the Great Maker himself J. Michael Straczynski proofreads and sanctions these manuscripts, how and why are such inconsistencies in print? For these inexcusable oversights, I have no choice but to rate this book 1 star.

Now, the average review for the book ****', which is pretty damned high. And, maybe it's just me, but I hardly ever even notice the dates in books, so to say one sucks because of them seems a bit moronic.
The Shawshank Redemption

It does?
"I don't know why everyone loves these movies. They are a bunch of stupid gothic ghosts and goblins. It's the oldest premise for a movie ever. I hate these movies. They are so overrated, it boggles the mind. I'd rather have both my arms ripped off and beat with them unmercifully than have to watch another one of these movies. "
Oh man how cool would THAT be!
Also, the topmost review on The Passion is some guy complaining that all the actors speak in "FRENCH OR SOMETHING!" :D

And here I thought this would be a repost of the Harry Potter vibrating broom reviews. :D
That should be a popular item with some people...;) :D

This toy was #1 on my daughter's Christmas list. So what the heck, although it has no educational value I figured it would be good for imaginative play. It wasn't until after she opened her gift and started playing with it that I realized that the toy may offer a more than sensational experience. The broomstick has cute sound effects and ***VIBRATES*** when they put it between their legs to fly. Come on---what were the creators of this toy thinking? She'll keep playing with the Nimbus 2000, but with the batteries removed.
GREAT TOY!, June 11, 2002

My 12 year old daughter is a big Harry Potter fan, and loved the part with the Nimbus 2000, so I decided to buy her this toy. I was afraid she would think it was too babyish, but she LOVES this toy. Even my daughter's friends enjoy playing with this fun toy. I was surprised at how long they can just sit in her room and play with this magic broomstick! A great buy for any Harry Potter fan! :)
Harry Potter Toy, Review, August 28, 2002

I recently bought this for my son, Vantro. He's a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Seen the movie 32 times (in the theaters) and made the paper. This toy gives him the ability to fly around the house zapping things. My only problem I see with the toy is the batteries drain too fast and his sister fights him over it, so now I need to buy her one.
Excellent!, June 11, 2002

When my 12 year old daughter asked for this for her birthday, I kind of wondered if she was too old for it, but she seems to LOVE it. Her friends love it too! They play for hours in her bedroom with this great toy. They really seem to like the special effects it offers (the sound effects and vibrating). My oldest daughter (17) really likes it too! I recommend this for all children.
