Logitech MX310 Help

I just got my new mouse a couple days ago, and after installing the software and all that, I cannot use the middle mouse button in games, nor the shoulder buttons in UT2K4 (it seems to think that mouse4 and mouse5 are the left and right arrow keys). Any way to remedy this?

    And you're using MouseWare 9.80?

In my experience, I have found that while logitech makes some great pointing devices like my MX500, however when it comes to driver support, they havent got a fucking clue what they are doing.

My reccomendation. Un-install logitechs software, and just plug your mouse into a usb port. It will work fine, and you should be able to use all of your buttons.
  • i second that, i always had troubles with their software, uninstall solved it all..

I don't use the software for my mouse, but it's a MS one. Similar reasons though. It works fine without it. My parents have a logitech and I didn't install their software either.

There's really no need for drivers because buttons can be assigned in games.
    (at least for MX500)
  • I might go without drivers, because the little Program Select button sitting right above the wheel would be useful. :)

In the software, you can bind those buttons to do certain things.
