• MartianDustMartianDust Elite Ranger
First one was good. Waiting to catch 2nd here.
As for funny entertaining animation I also love Ice Age. :)
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
I think I like Shrek better than Ice Age (probably because it's more sattire than pure jokes), but they're both great movies.

Saw Shrek 2 last night. Definately a thumbs up, and ditto what A# says about staying through the credits.
• A2597A2597 Fanboy
spoiler, ala TO NOT HIGHLIGHT UNLESS YOU WATCHED THE FILM!

Spoiler: heh, there were six in my group, and during the credits only one of us heard what donkey said, the audience was laughing so hard over the dragon donkeys. :D
• Mr.GaribaldiMr.Garibaldi Earthforce Officer
hmm you think I better watch the first Shrek before I watch the 2nd?

i guess im more of a sopranos / deadwood kind of guy
• SpiritOneSpiritOne Magneto ABQ NM
good movie, very funny. Mike Meyers rules.

spoiler info:

Spoiler: at the end after all the dragon/donkey hybrids fly into him he says "I gotta get a job"
• MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
Havent seen Iceage yet. must get around to doing that...

And havent seen Shrek2 either...
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
Fantastic movie. Double Plus Good!

I still love all of the Blazing Saddles references. They simply cracked me up.

Spoiler: Though, what really got me was the bar joke, "Why the long face?"
• If I go see anything in theaters, it will be either Eternal Sunshine or Van Helsing. I'll see Shrek 2 when it comes out on DVD. :)

Watch it in the theater foo! :D
• BekennBekenn Sinclair's Duck
Just saw it today. Awesome movie.
• ShadowDancerShadowDancer When I say, "Why aye, gadgie," in my heart I say, "Och aye, laddie." London, UK
probably not gonna see shrek 2. definitly wanna go see van helsing and the day after tomorrow. havent been to see anything in ages. last thing i saw was probably matrix revolutions:rolleyes:
• A2597A2597 Fanboy
heh....guess I'm the only one that thought vanhellsing looked silly....
• It does look silly, and from the reviews I've read, the non-stop action involves more classic monsters than you could shake a stick at, if you were really suicidal and wanted to go for that kind of thing. But I still want to see it. :)
• SpiritOneSpiritOne Magneto ABQ NM
i think ill wait for van helsing on fox, it just looks goofy, and since a few of my friends saw it and walked out of the theater going "blah" it doesnt look like its worth my time.

day after tomorrow? another disaster movie? no thanks, Ive seen the white house destroyed enough times it gets old after a while. Plus Im kind of boycotting Dennis Quade because he was stupid enough to let Meg Ryan go. damn shes a hottie :D
• bobobobo (A monkey)
Speaking of "Day After Tomorrow"...

Speaking of "Day After Tomorrow", saw it last night. Its actually a fun movie. Is the science real? Nah, not so much, but its a good (natural) disaster film, and you get to see both New York AND L.A. wiped out!
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
I'm hoping that Intuitor does a review of it. :)
• C_MonC_Mon A Genuine Sucker
Van Helsing isn't the best movie, but IMO pritty funny. There's alot of things taken from other movies.
Spoiler: Like when Van Helsing touches the portal he says "It's cold", wasn't it Neo in matrix who said the same thing when he touched something silvery

Well, third time through Shrek 2 so far. Still fantastic, but I was really focusing on some of the smaller details...

Spoiler:
In the tower, the wolf is eating pork rinds... :D
the various amusing safety signs throughout the potion factory ("gas masks required", "no casting" in a no-smoking style sign...)
The fact that Jill was blatantly flirting around while being married to Jack..
The Mel Brooks references NOBODY Got?!
The man-child servant Kyle is hilarious. As is the little hat the pigeon wears.
"I see england, I see france, I see fairy's under--aaahhhhh!"
"No Skin, No Bones, No Service" and the headless horseman getting a DWI test by the knights
The stores all over the place, and the street names that just cracked me up, but whose specific names escape me.
In the diary sequence, I saw what looked exactly like the shark from the Dreamworks movie in the preview. Could it be?
Come on, Mongo! It's so obvious! Why is nobody else dying from laughter? Come ON! It's the biggest reference ever!
Following that, the man running from the one coffee place to the other, drinking his frappuccino all the way through :D
The Ferrari coach with eight horses pulling it
The yellow "Taxi" coaches scattered about
"More heat, less cream!"

Perhaps you meant "touch." :p

It's in the script, but it's a minor line with no reference to any portal or anything.

I got to see it on my birthday (back on the 22nd) and I was out of breath at the end from laughing so hard. :D I absolutely LOVED the Ghostbusters 2 piss-take Spoiler: (giant cookie) and Puss in Boots fucking ROCKS! :D Spoiler: I loved how he would turn all cute, and then start kicking ass when they least expected it! Especially how he started swinging away at the knights like Yoda in Episode 2!

I've got a friend that hasn't seen it yet, so probably next week I'll be taking her to go see it. :)

I rather thought Mongo was a Ghostbusters 1 reference Spoiler: StayPuft Marshmallow Man

But that was evil.....the Statue of Liberty wasn't. ;)
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
Spoiler: Though it's very clear that Mongo is a Blazing Saddles reference at heart. I mean, it was a near-perfect emulation of the great brute the big cookie was named after. That, and the "Don't shoot him, you'll just make him angry" was also referenced.
• MartianDustMartianDust Elite Ranger
I aim to see Van helsing and Day after tomorrow. I thought 'oh no another disaster movie' but the effects looked good and all disasters in one movie, I've got to see. :)
Still not got Shrek here yet.
Anyone like the Harry Potter movies?! Thats so popular here specially the last one. I not seen yet and wasn't overly impressed with them. Ok but thats about it.
• MTMT Ranger
I've seen both Harry Potter Movies and thought they were ok. That family he lives with, though, just doesn't make any sense. I know it's a children's movie, but still, even as a child I wouldn't stand for that.

See Eternal Sunshine.
• I proposed Eternal Sunshine to my family and friends, and was universally shot down. =\
