Now... let’s get on with our big exclusive of the week, a peek at what you can expect when the STAR WARS trilogy hits DVD this fall. I don’t think the image requires much explanation, especially since message boards all over the Internet have been jammed with rumors about this particular change. You'd be wise to save this one to your desktops and redistribute it to friends in case it... ahem... mysteriously vanishes from here. Consider this your first official verification of that rumor:

Okay... is it just me, or do you get the feeling Yoda and Obi-Wan are looking at Young Anakin and wondering why he gets to be pretty for all eternity when he was the one who ****ed things up in the first place? “Wait... I’d like to look like Ewan McGregor again. Hello? Is this thing on?!”
This strikes me as one of those changes that Lucas is making just for the sake of making it. I know my co-writer can’t wait to get his hands on the new DVDs, but between the further changes and the stuff I’ve been hearing about the rather drastic cuts that have already been made to the Kevin Burns documentary, the whole thing seems a little underwhelming.
Harry here... ****ING RETARDED MONKEY BOY! What the **** Is That? I see, Sebastian Shaw isn't famous enough to be treated with the respect of a ****ing PUPPET or ALEC GUINNESS!!!!! Oh - and that George isn't even the ****ing director of this thing - This is OUTRAGEOUS! When Kevin Smith sees this he'll be *****ing blood for weeks. Sigh... breathe... I see it totally makes sense... cuz it wasn't like that **** shot was LAME AS HELL to begin with... Oh no, Lucas has managed to figure out how to out suck the dimmest of lights from RETURN OF THE JEDI. He's the ****ing BLACK HOLE! If you try applying logic to that image, you'll short circuit in a Logic Circle like Robby The Robot trying to melt Leslie Nielsen's Brain! One friend of mine - after screaming about wishing Lucas' early autopsy, decided he would rather wish that George get a mop job at Wal-Mart. I don't think he could screw that up! --- Just dawned on me. You realize that Mark Hamill's Luke is now looking at the teenager version of his Father - whose ghostly image is younger than him or his sister? That's RETARDED!!!! I mean - with the reverse - it's gonna look even lamer!

Wow.
I'm utterly speechless. First he kills the "Han Shoot's First" scene with Greedo....now this.

PS...if you can't see the image, it's because AICN is getting slammed with hits since this posted. URL is: http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/image/HaydenJedi.jpg
(Sanfam--can you move this? somehow it got here instead of Zocolo... -Thx)

On the other hand I'm not sure what the fuss is all about. The actor who played Darth Vader was, as we all know, voiced over by James Earl Jones, and most of the time he was wearing that infamous mask, so there wasn't much of the actor himself to be seen in the movies to begin with anyway. That's like arguing about someone else playing Chewbacca... or Kosh... who cares?
In this case the character was pivotal, not the actor. :shadow1:

Yea yea.. but Hayden? Come on! :D
Moving to the Zocolo. :)
After all, that's what Annakin looked like just before he became Vader. For the rest of his life as Vader, he was mostly mechanical, and barely human.
So if he dies and appears as a ghost, what's he going to look like? A floating partially dismembered body?
The only time you see Annakin's face later on is when Luke takes off his mask. I wouldn't be surprised if Lucas digitally changes THAT scene, too.
hehe.. Lucas really wants to rape the movies huh? I hope there'll be a chance to get the original trilogy on dvd some day.. My vhs tapes are getting a bit bad..
I would love that too, unfortunatly, Lucas says that the Special Edition was what he originally thought Star Wars should have been, and pretty much implies the the original trilogy doen't exist in his mind anymore. Hence, no Original versions on DVD unless you have the ability to copy tapes over to DVD.

To quote Luke from the original trilogy: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" .
(IMHO, the scream when he drops himself added in the special edition pretty much just ruined that scene. In the original, he knows he is beaten, so he chooses to jump and does so with some style. In the new version, he falls and screams like a wee-baby. bleh.)
Not listening...
This may be the last proof that old George may be getting senile after all. :D

And then there is the fact that the guy at the end, wasn't the guy in the suit.
3 actors played vader in the original movies. James Earl Jones was the Voice o Vader, David Prowse (hotblack desiato's bodyguard in HHGTTG) was the Body of Vader in the suit, and Sebastian Shaw as the Face/ghost of Vader
It looks like possibly its a fake....

hmmmmmmm
I'm somewhat amazed that the Indy Trilogy made it out without "enhancements." Maybe that was due to Speilberg.
If he meant for han to dodge, wouldn't he have SHOT it that way?
HAN SHOOTS FIRST
What scene were you referring to, Refa? Who jumping when?
For the record, I've only seen the Special Edition of A New Hope. I'll probably scribe my VHS to DVD of the classic shooting of the films with my Radeon AIW, now that I know that they are, essentially, the last copies of the cut I saw as a Kid that I'll ever run into.
Bummer.
BTW, I also heard on a Jurrasic Park Site another Aint-it-cool-news snippet that it was heard that Speilberg wants the Dinos to use guns in JP4 (i.e. trained by the military like bomb-dolphins).
No idea if it's true, but I sure hope not.
Of all the JPs, thus far, I have to say I enjoyed JP3 the most. Felt allot like "Trespasser" did in terms of story....coincidence? Probably not. ;)

Empire Strikes Back, Luke and Vader, "Join me, and together we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy!". When Vader has chopped Luke's hand off. There he decides to jump instead of joining with Vader and going to the dark side.
