I use a separate email account for registering to internet things. The beauty of it is that it's an entire domain, not just one account. Send an email to anything with "@ambrai.cjb.net" on the end and it'll come to me. So I just add the name of the site to the beginning, and I can see what is coming from where. Don't know, haven't registered with enough sites with this new account yet. Although I can say that Amazon hasn't spammed me once yet.

If you're out in CA, Jack, they do have antispam legislation, but crappy opt-out stuff.
Getting the spammers' accounts yanked helps, but if you're in a mood for playing with someone's heads, I'm sure a dev/writer could picture interesting ways to mess with the spammers' minds [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
My favorite ones are the ones that offer you an unsubscribing link setup at the bottom, and if you use it, you get a bounce back either within minutes or a few hours stating that the mailing address list to unsubscribe from doesn't exist...
In addition, you get a whole new flood of spam within days of making any kind of response...
Well, in my spam-mail account, I discovered that some of these unsubscribe buttons actually do work! Sadly, that's my spam mail account.
All I'm left with is my main account with is getting bombed with Asian spam. Not porn or anything. Just Spam from somewhere within asia for everything from flashy ads of an unknown nature to deisel engine parts to small executive aircraft.
The headers are a mess, and so is everything else. It's a real pain.
Those guys are a lifesaver when it comes to nuking spammers. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
It only works if you didn't opt-in for it tho.
